The Day I met Brother Jimmy Dotson
Will forever remain etched in my mind,
It was before his days as a Missionary.
He drove a 40s model Cadillac that he tended
With the care such a vehicle deserved. He
Also sported a beautiful “Blonde haired Lady”
On his arm, his beautiful wife “Billie.”
His charm and demeanor were only
surpassed by the elegance with which he stroked the
Ivories on the Baby Grand Piano situated in the
Chapel of Pentecostal Bible Institute
in Tupelo MS 1958.
Jimmy and Billy Dotson spent 26 years as
Missionaries in the countries of
Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
Most of you that know Bro. Jimmy are aware that Bro. Jimmy Dotson has not been physically able to play his beloved piano for some years now. Unfortunately Brother Jimmy was never able to have his music professionally recorded. Although this CD was professionally recorded, the songs you will be enjoying on this CD were taken from cassette recordings which were made several years ago. They are still beautiful but the fidelity is somewhat lacking. We all love Brother Jimmy Dotson and love to hear him play his music. We trust that you will enjoy the music Brother Jimmy recorded expressly for the wonderful people in the mission fields. They are the bulk of this CD project
